We received an email:

I have tried in vain to track down the above company as listed on your website. I applied for a UK bank account through them and now cannot get in contact with them.
I am very concerned as I have given them almost every detail of my life (I now feel very gullible and am very concerned about what may be done with my personal details), they have also debited my credit card with a fee to submit my "application" to UK banks and promised to contact me shortly.....

I've just returned from Libya, have you had any luck? I've posted a warning on the site at http://www.expats.org.uk/finance-banks.html
Before I posted the ad I tried to make some checks on them through the FSA, they very helpfully said it had nothing to do with them as it was only assisting in obtaining a bank account, it wasn't a banking subject.
Please keep me informed of any developments.

Thank you for that info!  I got my money back through my credit card.  I am now in the UK and have still been unable to get in contact with them, I have an address or two for them and will give them a visit on my travels to try to sort the possums out.

I also have submitted an application for a UK bank account to Sercient, they have debited my credit card for a fee, yet I have heard nothing back.
Their website seems to be down.
Have you heard anything further about what has happened to them?

I have given the people behind this website all my information and am extremely concerned about identity theft. What did you discover as you looked into it?
Any response would be welcome, I am going to monitor my credit and social security number as well as I can. I am setting it up right now. I am very concerned.
I am going to go to the police and track any movement on my social security number.
